| Description: |
Activins are dimeric growth and differentiation factors which belong to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins, Activins signal through a heteromeric complex of receptor serine kinases which include at least two type I (I and IB) and two type II (II and IIB) receptors, These receptors are all transmembrane proteins, This ACVR2B gene encodes activin A type IIB receptor, Type I and II receptors form a stable complex after ligand binding, Type I receptors are essential for signaling, Type II receptors are considered to be constitutively active kinases, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain with predicted serine/threonine specificity, and type II receptors are required for binding ligands and for expression of type I receptors, composed of a ligand-binding extracellular domain with cysteine-rich region, resulting in phosphorylation of type I receptors by type II receptors, which displays a 3- to 4-fold higher affinity for the ligand than activin A type II receptor, Activin receptor type-2B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ACVR2B gene |
| Immunogen: |
Amino acids VVHKKMRPTIKDHWLKHPGLAQLCVTIEECWDHDAE from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the ACVR2B antibody |
| Storage: |
After reconstitution, Avoid repeated freezing and thawing, Celcius or lower, Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity, Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized, aliquot and store at -20 deg, store at 4oC, the ACVR2B antibody may be kept for up to one month refrigerated at +4 degrees C, For long-term, Prior to reconstitution |
| Properties: |
C, C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°, If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24° |
