| Description: |
It plays an important role in the suppression of proliferation-associated genes, The E2F family plays a crucial role in the control of cell cycle and action of tumor suppressor proteins and is also a target of the transforming proteins of small DNA tumor viruses, The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors, These domains include a DNA binding domain, This protein binds to all three of the tumor suppressor proteins pRB, a dimerization domain which determines interaction with the differentiation regulated transcription factor proteins(DP), a transactivation domain enriched in acidic amino acids, and a tumor suppressor protein association domain which is embedded within the transactivation domain, and its gene mutation and increased expression may be associated with human cancer, but with higher affinity to the last two, p107 and p130, Transcription factor E2F4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the E2F4 gene |
| Immunogen: |
An amino acid sequence from the middle region of human E2F4 (LPKPALAQSQEASRPN) was used as the immunogen for this E2F4 antibody |
| Storage: |
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing, Celcius or lower, Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity, For long-term, Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized, aliquot and store at -20 deg, the E2F4 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC, After reconstitution |
| Properties: |
C, C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°, If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24° |
