| Background information: |
Considered an adaptor protein, Containing an SH2 domain, HSH2 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19p13, HSH2 interacts with tyrosine kinases Fes and ACK, HSH2 may also act to attenuate apoptosis through modulating the apoptotic response by promoting mitochondrial stability, HSH2 participates in tyrosine kinase signaling and may be involved in the regulation of cytokine signaling and cytoskeletal reorganization in hematopoietic cells, and weakly expressed in prostate, four PXXP polyproline sequences and two possible tyrosine phosphorylation sites, heart, small intestine and placenta, such as peripheral blood leukocytes, thymus, 11, HSH2 is a 352 amino acid nuclear and cytoplasmic protein that is predominantly expressed in spleen and hematopoietic cells |

| Advisory: |
For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube, Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom, specificity and sensitivity, thus reducing its reactivity, Avoid freeze/thaw cycles as they may denaturate the polypeptide chains of the antibody |

| Conjugation: |
Alexa Fluor |
| Group: |
Polyclonals and antibodies |
| About: |
The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues, Polyclonals can be used for Western blot |
